Can plastics be recycled? In any case, they’re everywhere – in shops, canteens, homes, cars… and in our bins. What happens to them once they’re no longer in use?
This workshop will be an opportunity to learn more about these versatile materials, their uses, their benefits, their environmental impacts… and to challenge some common misconceptions. We’ll be looking in particular at the end of their life cycles, with a focus on recycling.
This workshop also aims to introduce you to how the FabLab works and what can be made there.
You’ll discover through hands-on experience how to recycle plastic on a hyper-local scale, within the FabLab, whilst also reflecting on whether this kind of ‘make-do’ recycling is actually effective ’
You’ll learn how to use our machines to create new (useful!) objects from the FabLab’s plastic waste.
