“Guillaume & Harold” show

Are you ready to plunge into the heart of the struggle for the English crown? Two dancers, as agile as they are skilful, embark on a colourful re-enactment of the events depicted in the famous Bayeux Tapestry. We ride alongside William the Conqueror in this historical epic that plunges us into the heart of the Middle Ages thanks to a host of props. Choreographer Gaëlle Bourges draws on the performative power and imagination of children’s games to retrace, with humour and virtuosity, the heroic exploits of the Duke of Normandy who became King of England. It’s playful, hilarious and as dynamic as a comic strip brought to life. Vikings, knights, horses and fantastical creatures – the cast wreaks havoc, and the battlefield set is worth its weight in gold.

A production by OASES’s ‘Collection tout-terrain’, presented as part of MILLENIUM – 2027, European Year of the Normans.

Duration: 50 minutes. Suitable for ages 6 and over.
Concept by Gaëlle Bourges, Narrative by Gaëlle Bourges, based on the story told by the Bayeux Tapestry, with Camille Gerbeau and Pedro Hermelin Vélez.
