Step inside a masterpiece of the Reconstruction era that redefined the modern university!
To mark the 2026 European Heritage Days, come and explore the University of Caen. Destroyed in 1944 and subsequently rebuilt by the architect Henry Bernard, this campus – inaugurated in 1957 – successfully blends modern functionalism, Norman heritage and nods to history. An ambitious project in which the architecture interacts with the talent of numerous artists (painters, sculptors, cabinetmakers) to create a unique setting that combines comfort and beauty.
