In 2026, we're heading for Southern Italy!
This year's edition will take you to the heart of Southern Italy, with its traditions, art of living and dolce vita!
The 2026 event-exhibition: a journey to the heart of a city frozen in time.
Nearly two thousand years ago, in the year 79, Vesuvius erupted, engulfing an entire city in a matter of hours. Pompeii disappeared under the ashes... and, paradoxically, became one of the greatest testimonies of Antiquity ever preserved.
With this exhibition, the Foire Internationale de Caen 2026 offers a gripping immersion into the heart of this mythical city.
Over an area of 2,000 m², visitors are invited to walk through history, to discover the daily lives of the inhabitants, to understand the drama, and to feel all the emotional power of this event that continues to fascinate the whole world. Presented for the very first time, this major exhibition will be unveiled exclusively at the Foire Internationale de Caen.
The Italian village at the Foire de Caen:
After passing through the remains of the ancient city, the exhibition continues in a reconstructed Italian village, set up at the heart of the exhibition-event. This lively, welcoming space provides a link between the thousand-year-old history of Pompeii and the Italy of today. Visitors are invited to stroll through an authentic Mediterranean atmosphere, with craft shops, Italian products, an Italian restaurant and a bar, where scents, colours and conviviality mingle. Popular icons such as the Vespa and the Fiat 500 punctuate the tour, adding to the immersion in the Neapolitan art of living.
Maradona, symbol of Neapolitan passion:
Diego Maradona, a figure inseparable from Naples, occupies a special place in this Italian village. Much more than a football player, he is celebrated as a true popular icon, the embodiment of Neapolitan fervour, pride and soul.
A space has been dedicated to him, as a cultural and emotional nod to the contemporary city.
This suspended moment is a reminder that Naples is a land of stories and myths that stand the test of time.
It's a complete experience, designed to take you on a journey, surprise you and prolong your escape, without leaving Caen!
