The ensemble Les Tremblements brings together musicians from Normandy who are passionate about early music. It comprises two baroque flutes, a recorder, a cello and a harpsichord – that is, three upper-voice instruments and the ‘basso continuo’.
Inspired by the vast repertoire of the Baroque era’s heyday, the ensemble explores works by the best-known composers such as J.S. Bach and G.P. Telemann, whilst also performing pieces by L.A. Dornel and J.C. Schickhardt. On this journey from German to French music, the musicians will take you on a journey through duets, trios and quartets, along paths adorned with tremolos, portamento, trills and all manner of warbling.
