Two bands from Normandy that beautifully blend vocals and electronic music with a rock feel.
OUAÏM’LER Traditional Norman songs Electro fusion
- OUAÏM’LER (pronounced Waimlé), formed by Julia Bougon and Margot Fleury, who both sing and operate live electronic equipment, draws on traditional Norman songs to create a dialogue with electronic textures. Vocal polyphonies blend with synthetic sounds, transforming sound archives into something resolutely contemporary. Straddling oral heritage and contemporary creation, Ouaïm’ler brings this popular heritage to life, restoring it to its full vigour.
ROUGIR Pop Rock Electro
-ROUGIR’s music is intense and infectious, characterised by the interweaving of backing vocals, guitar riffs and Colin Deschamps’ electro production. Maëla Kerebel Rennes’ powerful, deep voice elevates Rougir’s introspective world, where gentleness, rage and trance intertwine.
