The exhibition *La Main de l’architecte*, on its way to the future museum in Caen, marks a new stage in the development of the Musée Gandur, which is due to open in Caen in 2031. Following *Dans l’Œil du collectionneur* (Through the Collector’s Eyes), which in 2025 offered a first glimpse of the Foundation’s collections, this second instalment unveils to the public the architectural and landscape design conceived by Barozzi Veiga, which will be situated between the Memorial and the Colline aux Oiseaux.
Eight internationally renowned architectural practices took part in the consultation to design this future museum and its park. The
exhibition allows visitors to explore the images, plans and models of the Barozzi Veiga project – which was unanimously selected in May 2026 – before moving on to examine the proposals by Grafton Architects, Mikoü Architecture, Moatti Rivière Architecture, OMA, Snøhetta Studio, Wilmotte & Associés Architectes and Riken Yamamoto & Field Shop.
