As part of Pink October, the USOM Diving Club is offering a unique and unforgettable experience, exclusively for women. Discover what it feels like to descend beneath the surface: excitement, wonder, a sense of freedom, tranquillity… No experience is needed, nor do you need to be a strong swimmer to enjoy it to the full!
After a warm welcome from the club’s volunteers, you’ll be given a brief theoretical introduction: what are the different types of diving? What equipment is used? How do you communicate underwater? It’s also a chance to ask any questions you may have!
Next, you’ll be welcomed at the edge of the pool: getting kitted out, meeting the instructors, entering the (heated) water… And off you go for a special underwater experience with your dedicated instructor, in complete safety!
Once you’re out of the water, the volunteers will be waiting for you with hot drinks for a chance to chat and share your thoughts on your experience, diving in general, and breast cancer.
Diving mask, fins and equipment are provided. Don’t forget to bring your swimming costume, a towel and a swimming cap if you have one! A few extra bits you might want to bring for your comfort: a bathrobe and flip-flops. And, of course, your smile.
