The Runsep 2026: 10 years of sport and solidarity to advance research into multiple sclerosis.
On 10 and 11 October 2026, join The Runsep at the Colline aux Oiseaux in Caen for a special edition celebrating the 10th anniversary of this charity event, created by Normandie SEP and Solidaires en Peloton. Two organisations, one shared mission.
Normandie SEP supports people living with multiple sclerosis and their loved ones throughout Normandy. The organisation works to break down isolation, foster social connections, develop adapted sport and improve patients’ quality of life.
Solidaires en Peloton brings together sports enthusiasts who channel their energy into helping others. By organising charity sporting challenges, the organisation engages the general public and raises funds to support medical research.
The challenge: a 24-hour relay race. For 24 hours, runners, walkers, families, businesses, charities and sports clubs take turns running or walking towards a single goal: to support people living with MS and fund research. The 24-hour relay symbolises a reality experienced by patients: the condition is present 24 hours a day.
At the same time, a morning of talks will feature testimonials from patients, carers and professionals, highlighting the importance of adapted sport, social connections and the fight against isolation.
Objectives:
- To raise awareness of multiple sclerosis (MS), a chronic neurological condition that is often disabling and has significant psychological and socio-occupational impacts. In France, over 130,000 people live with MS and nearly 3,000 new cases are diagnosed each year. In Normandy, 5,830 people are affected, with 250 new cases expected in 2025.
-To highlight the benefits of sport for patients, with adapted activities designed to improve their quality of life.
-To change perceptions of disability and raise funds for research, which will be donated to the France Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
Everyone can take part at their own pace:
-The Runsep Free: run or walk alone, with family or friends, at your own pace.
-The Runsep Team: form a team with your company, charity, club or friends and family, and take on the relay challenge for a few hours… or for 24 hours!
-Runsep Solidarity Relay Team: join a team made up of patients, carers and runners to enjoy a unique shared experience.
Every registration helps advance research; 100 per cent of the proceeds are donated to the French Multiple Sclerosis Foundation to fund research.
In 2025, €17,000 was raised during the event. In 2026, to mark the 10th anniversary of Runsep, let’s take on a new challenge together by turning out in even greater numbers!
