Tour of the Banque de France | Heritage Days

On Saturday 19 September, the Banque de France in Caen will, as a special one-off, open its doors to the public to mark European Heritage Days. A 1½-hour guided tour will immerse you in the history and remit of this institution and allow you to admire, from the garden, the façade of the former Hôtel le Brun de Fontenay.
Several information stands will be set up along the route.
On the programme:

* The history of the Banque de France, with key dates and historical facts about the Caen branch
* An exhibition of photographs and iconic artefacts
* The activities of a central bank
* The roles of a Banque de France branch
* A fun workshop on financial education
* A workshop on banknote authentication
* A final quiz

A unique opportunity to explore part of this estate, which is usually closed to the public, and to chat with the Banque de France teams about their work.
This tour is not suitable for children under 14 or people with disabilities.
Book your place now for one of the available time slots! Groups of up to 20 people (including children). Please arrive 10 minutes before your booked time. Vigipirate security checks will be carried out. Suitcases, large bags, pushchairs, scooters and animals are not permitted. Photography and filming are strictly prohibited without authorisation. Smoking, vaping and eating are prohibited on the premises.
