Since 1973, the Colombelles Waste-to-Energy Plant (UVE) has been incinerating 120,000 tonnes of waste a year.
Burning this waste generates electricity, which is used directly on site, and heat, which supplies the district heating network as well as the neighbouring market gardens.
The industrial site is open to everyone aged 8 and over.
