PAR LE GAST
At times soft and intimate pop, at others full of abrupt breaks and rock-inspired bursts, Par le Gast’s music seeks, in its own small way, to break new sonic ground, searching for light as it escapes through the window. Far from a scholarly approach, Par le Gast embraces DIY as its modus operandi, sifting through bedroom production and its unexpected twists to blend influences ranging from 1990s Anglo-Saxon indie rock to the avant-garde pop of the 1970s and 1980s, giving rise to a melodic yet oblique sound.
ZOE HESELTON
With an exceptional voice and a daredevil approach to the electric guitar, Zoe Heselton sings of vertigo, of falling from great heights, and of the dances that help one get back on one’s feet. Her vibrant and intimate music, steeped in traditional, folk, blues and flamenco influences, tells of darkness and healing. By turns melodious and dissonant, her songs are litanies for survival, poems of tenderness and rage.
