Behind the scenes at the Dôme: The phocometer

Actually, what is Le Dôme? A museum, a library, a research centre, a workspace? Am I allowed to go in? With my children, my friends? What for? To have fun, learn, chat, collaborate? Do I need to book? And how much does it cost?

If you’ve ever asked yourself one or more of these questions, we’d love to see you on the first Saturday of every month at 2 pm. For two hours, a member of the team will guide you through your first steps at Le Dôme, helping you discover all its nooks and crannies, activities and facilities. They’ll also introduce you to the flagship prototypes that tell the story of our project and the history of the venue. By the end of this tour, you’ll know everything there is to know and, we hope, leave brimming with enthusiasm and creative ideas!

This Saturday, 3 October 2026, from 2 pm to 4 pm, follow our guide and discover the seal counter and the spotting scope – observation tools made at the FabLab – which will allow you to observe seals safely in Normandy. Tempted? Sign up now – it’s free!
