Discover the origins of Caen and the history of William the Conqueror in a fun and active way, using your sense of observation, logic and mime skills!
The treasure hunt begins with a short tour of the city centre, giving you the keys to solving the treasure hunt. You'll learn who the people of Caen were in the 11th century, what their daily lives were like and who the young duke was who, after founding the town, decided to leave his flourishing duchy and set off to conquer England! Working in teams (already formed at the time of booking or formed during the tour with the participants), you will then set off to find architectural details in the pedestrianised area of the town centre. Your findings will lead you to a secret envelope containing the role you'll have to play in the conquest of England!
All the teams will meet at the foot of William's castle, and each team will have to act out the role found in its secret envelope in order to recreate all the stages in the conquest of England by William and the Norman knights. The points will be tallied and the winning team crowned.
