The château is a fabulous Renaissance building between Caen and the D-Day beaches. It's been in the same family for the last 800 years. It has one of the highest roofs out of all the French castles! The collection of antique furniture and paintings, leafy grounds and 13th and 16th century estate chapel are open to visitors. Wooden play structures in the grounds. Guided tour (French and English): 1.5 hr. Text available in English, German, Spanish, Russian and Dutch.
